CVC 16U Lightning placed 2nd in the gold division at the ECC in Pittsburgh

Our 16U Lightening team was a Gold Finalist – placing 2nd in the Beast of the East Coast Championship in Pittsburgh May 30.

They were 11-6 in sets and 5-2 in matches for the tournament… losing to Pittsburgh Elite 16 Premier in the Gold Bracket Final.

CVC 16U Lightning Place 3rd in CHRVA Regionals 16 Open Division

CVC 16 Lightning placed 3rd in the CHRVA Regionals 16 Open Division on April 9.

Thet were 10-3 in sets and 5-1 in matches for the tournament… losing to Brandywine Blackout in the Gold Bracket Semi-Finals but beating out No Panic 16 Matrix for 3rd place.

CVC 18U Comets & 16U Lightning Lead the Way at the 2016 Shamrock Festival

Eight CVC teams made the trip to Roanoke, VA to compete in the 2016 Shamrock Volleyball Festival and the results were very strong as teams prepare for NEQs in Philadelphia and Regionals in April. With 90 teams in both the 18U and 16U Divisions, and 64 teams in the 14U division, CVC teams made quite an impact:

18U Comets finished 2nd in the Gold Medal Bracket
17U Eclipse Won the Silver Bracket
17U Stars finished in the 1st round of the Copper Bracket
16U Lightning finished 2nd in the Gold Medal Bracket
16U Thunder finished in the Semi-Finals of the Silver Bracket
15U Storm finished in the Semi-Finals of the Bronze Bracket
15U Typhoon finished in the Semi-Finals of the Diamond Bracket
14U Condors finished in the Quarter-Finals of the Gold Bracket

CVC 16U Lightning places 2nd in the 16U Division at the Shamrock Festival

The CVC 16 Lightning team placed 2nd out of 90 teams in the Shamrock Festival’s 16U Division this past weekend in Roanoke, VA.

The Lightning were 24-5 in sets and 8-2 in matches for the tournament… barely losing to NRV 16N King in the gold bracket final!!  Well Done!

CVC 16U Lightning Wins Gold at the CVC 15/16’s Presidents’ Fest

The CVC 16 Lightning team won the Columbia’s 15/16’s Presidents’ Fest on Sunday, February 28 at the Elkridge Volleyball House.  They came in first out of 12 teams.  They were 13-0 in sets and 5-0 in matches for the day… Defeating MVSA 16 Hott Shotts in the final.

CVC 16U Lightning Wins Gold at the CVC 16’s Invitational

The Columbia Volleyball Club 16U-1 team won the gold medal at the CVC 16’s Invitational at Volleyball House on Sunday, February 7th.  They were 13-0 in sets and 5-0 in matches for the day! They defeated Premier Volleyball Club in the final, 25-18 and 25-18.
